Effective Meetings and Minutes

Time is running out to register for this interactive ½-day workshop that will provide practical information and useful tips on the what, who, and how of modern meeting practice and minute keeping. This workshop will include guidelines on how to organize meeting agenda, how to meet director informational needs, and other key aspects of meeting effectiveness and procedures for successful board and annual general meetings. This workshop will particularly benefit those with little or no legal background.

The ICSA-Canada Directors Education and Accreditation Program (DEAP) helps you to clarify your governance mission and fully exercise your leadership potential as a board director. It is a highly interactive 3-day course that incorporates roundtable discussions, case studies and on-point insights from leading academic thinkers, experts in the field of board behaviour and Directors-in-residence. The goal of the program is to build competencies deemed necessary to be an effective director.

Annual General Meeting

Chartered Secretaries Canada travels across the country to give more members the opportunity to attend the AGM. Every member in good standing is welcome to join us at this year's AGM in Calgary, Alberta on June 13, 2008. Watch for your notice and package by email.
