Effective Meeting & Minutes
This interactive and practical ½-day workshop will provide information and useful tips on the duties and responsibilities facing a Corporate Secretary in these changing times. Practical information and useful tips will be provided on the what, who, and how of modern meeting practice and minute keeping. This workshop will include guidelines on how to organize meeting agenda, how to meet director informational needs, and other key aspects of meeting effectiveness and procedures for successful board and annual general meetings. There will also be some consideration given to parliamentary procedures, rules of order, minute keeping methods, by-laws and statues, etc. Reviews SEDAR and SEDI requirements, corporate governance issues, corporate record keeping and more. This workshop will particularly benefit those with little or no legal background.
