Essentials of Corporate Secretaryship

This full-day workshop gives a bird’s eye view of the roles and responsibilities of a Corporate Secretary in the 21st century.  ICSA has developed this workshop to promote Corporate Secretaries’ good judgment and due diligence within the industry.  This workshop will provide an overview of the ‘ins and outs’ of corporate secretarial practice including what to expect and how to deal with directors, shareholders and their rights, and various compliance components.  The workshop will boost the confidence of the novice Corporate Secretary and will provide seasoned Secretaries the opportunity to refresh their know-how.  References to the Canadian Corporate Secretary’s Guide will be made throughout this workshop.  Regular registration fee includes a copy of Chartered Secretaries Canada’s Corporate Secretaryship Study Guide, which highlights relevant sections of the Canadian Corporate Secretary’s Guide.  IQS student registrants would have received a copy of the Corporate Secretaryship Study Guide upon registration for this module.
