Essentials of Corporate Law
This full-day workshop deals with the general topic of Canadian Law relating to corporations and the distinctions between companies and other forms of organizations, such as partnerships. The workshop will include discussion on various areas of law relevant to shareholder rights and liabilities, operations of companies, bylaws, qualifications, duties and powers of directors, conflict of interest, etc.  References to the Canadian Corporate Secretaries Guide published by CCH Canadian will be made throughout this workshop. Regular registration fee includes a copy of Chartered Secretaries Canada’s Corporate Law Study Guide, which highlights relevant sections of the Canadian Corporate Secretaries Guide. IQS Student registrations would have received a copy of the Corporate Law Study Guide upon registration for the IQS course and exam.
