"...Since we have completed the training session, we have had a few committee and also a board meeting. In many instances, references have been made to what was learned at the training session and how we should apply it to our meetings. It is obvious that you and your team have made a big impression on the group.

Personally, I am grateful for the discussions and the presentations we received. I have had many opportunities over the years to attend Corporate governance training sessions of this type, be it as a board member with other Crown corporations, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, or other private corporations. I can tell you with all the assurance in the world that the training you have provided is the most complete, engaging, and best presented material I have ever received. The format you provide is very fluent, well structured, well defined and presented by the best in their respective fields. Not a dull moment. I found the whole program to be a real learning experience and I came out of there charged with new energy.

I want to thank you and your team for delivering the ultimate Corporate Governance training session one can hope for. I admire your professionalism and the friendship developed over the course of the week."

Sincerely,
Alain Carriere

What separates DEAP from other directors’ programs?

DEAP is a sharply focused program, delivering critical content in a condensed period of time.  It is designed for busy people who want to get what they need in a timely fashion.

When you register for DEAP, you will receive material to be read ahead time – one document for each of the modules – in your choice of format:  printed, on CD or downloadable.  The workshop will be three days in duration and will be a mix of presentations, discussions, case studies and a quiz for each module.

Upon completion, you will be awarded the Accredited Director designation (Acc.Dir.) and receive membership in our Affiliate Group.  As an Affiliate Group member, you will have a subscription to Corporate Governance Quarterly, our premier publication on good governance practice; access to special rates for seminars, workshops and other continuing professional development opportunities; and the same benefits package extended to our professional members.

In addition to our DEAP content partners, Chartered Secretaries Canada has also partnered with the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange to offer a variation of DEAP in the Caribbean, as well as with the government to offer DEAP in Nunavut.
