Lunch & Learn - Mitigating Risk
The Professional Development and Recognition Committee sponsored another successful event with 30 members, students and friends in attendance. Tina Daniels, introduced the speaker, Cheryl-Ann Mapp, who is well known in the community as a former magistrate and consultant on compliance and anti money laundering issues. Mrs. Mapp spoke on Bermuda’s complex regulatory environment and the incumbent risks and responsibilities of corporate and financial service providers. Branch Chairman, Scott Davis, thanked Mrs. Mapp for her comprehensive presentation.

Social Evening for Members & Students
The Membership & Marketing Committee sponsored a successful networking event for two dozen members and students at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. Featured attraction for the evening was a wine tasting presentation by Michael Robinson of Burrows Lightbourn Ltd. Highlight of the night was the presentation of a Fellowship certificate to Alison Forte by Branch Chairman, Scott Davis.

Lunch & Learn - Boardroom Refits
The Branch hosted a successful Lunch & Learn session at the Bacardi International Building. The subject was "Boardroom Refits". Greg Woods of International Technology Solutions Ltd. demonstrated state of the art functionality for multi-purpose meeting rooms. Participant feed-back was high, with attendees keen to learn how the new technologies can be incorporated into their own boardrooms.

Appearing prominently in today’s edition of The Royal Gazette was an article entitled "ICSA Stalwarts Honoured" Pictured alongside the article were Peter Borland, Louise Payne and Marc Moribito proudly holding their recognition certificates for 25 years’ membership. The three of them, along with Ian Morrison, were presented their certificates by Branch Chairman Pamela Bardill at the AGM held on April 22, 2009.

Recognition Dinner for H. Bruce Murray, FCIS
The celebration at the Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club, 26 Riddell’s Bay Rd., Warwick commenced with cocktails at 7.00 p.m. (cash bar) with Dinner at 7.30 p.m. at a cost of $85.00 per person including wine and gratuities was a great success with 40 people attending to honour Bruce Murray's contribution to the Bermuda Branch, to the profession and of his Presidency of Chartered Secretaries Canada.
